What is the 4th stage of lung cancer?

Stage four lung cancer is where cancer has spread to distant sites. In some cases, it can be treated with systemic chemotherapy in combination with other treatments like radiation therapy, drug therapy, and surgery. The 4th stage of lung cancer is the same as its 3rd stage.

The 4th stage of lung cancer is called empyema, which is an accumulation of pus in the pleural cavity. Lung cancer spreads out through your body by traveling along with networks of cells that are surrounding small blood vessels (like a spider web)
